HSCRANE 10-Ton Single Girder Gantry Crane Successfully Shipped to India

2026-10-13

Project Background

A steel structure processing company operates in the Mundra Port industrial area, Gujarat, India. It mainly lifts H-beams, box columns, and precast beams in an open-air storage yard. The site has reserved rails for a 22-meter span. Ground travel is about 60 meters. The power supply is three-phase 415 V, 50 Hz. Daily lifting loads are mostly 3 to 8 tons. A 10-ton rated capacity leaves margin. Local summers are hot, and monsoon humidity is high with heavy salt fog. The original lifting equipment struggled to lower hooks slowly. In April 2026, the company confirmed HSCRANE would supply one 10-ton single girder gantry crane. The following records the complete process to India by parameters, production, packaging, transport, and conclusion.

Core Technical Parameters of the Single Girder Gantry Crane

The crane is an MH-type electric single girder gantry crane. It is finalized to Indian gauge, clearance, and voltage. Its working class is A3. It is not a simple rewiring of a domestic 380 V model. Accompanying documents include Chinese-English manuals, electrical schematics, and spare parts lists. Nameplate and order confirmation parameters are as follows.

Core Technical Parameters of the Single Girder Gantry Crane

Production and Manufacturing of the Single Girder Gantry Crane

  • Main Girder Cutting and Welding:The 22-meter main girder uses Q355B steel plates. CNC cutting ensures web and flange dimensions. Longitudinal main welds use submerged arc automatic welding. After welding, 100% ultrasonic testing found no slag, porosity, or incomplete penetration. The mid-span is pre-cambered according to rated load. This avoids excessive main girder deflection after heavy loading.
  • Outrigger Trial Assembly:Outriggers and main girder connect with flanges and high-strength bolts. Before delivery, trial assembly was done on factory rails. Span, diagonals, and gauge were rechecked. Deviations were controlled within installation tolerances. This reduces flame correction at the Indian site.
  • Mechanism and Electrical:The hoisting mechanism uses an MD-type wire rope electric hoist. 0.7 m/min is for component alignment. 7 m/min is for daily lifting. Control cabinets, motors, and limit switches are configured for 415 V, 50 Hz. Overload limits, lifting limits, emergency stops, and rail clamps are set. A 1.25-times static load test was completed in May 2026. Qualified documents were shipped with the goods.

Equipment Packaging and Protection

  • Steel Structure Anti-Corrosion:Main girder and outriggers were sandblasted to Sa2.5. Epoxy zinc-rich primer, micaceous iron intermediate paint, and polyurethane topcoat were applied in sequence. Dry film thickness meets export anti-corrosion requirements. Steel structures were covered with waterproof canvas. Edges received corner protectors. This prevents coating damage during port lifting.
  • Electrical Component Sealing:Electric hoist, control cabinet, remote control, and fasteners were boxed separately. VCI anti-rust film and desiccant were placed inside boxes. Wooden boxes meet export requirements. They mark center of gravity, lifting points, rain protection, and upward direction. Packing lists and certificates accompany boxes. This avoids missing parts during customs clearance and unpacking.
  • Oversized Component Reinforcement:The 22-meter main girder exceeds standard container internal length. Therefore, it was not cut into short sections. The whole girder was framed and reinforced at lifting points. Outriggers, railings, walkways, and cables were bundled separately. Shipping marks correspond one-to-one with box numbers. This facilitates transshipment at Mundra Port.

Transport and Delivery

  • Domestic Port Gathering:In early June 2026, the single girder gantry crane left the factory by flatbed trucks and special supports. Overhanging main girder parts had warnings. The route avoided height limits and sharp turns. It arrived at Qingdao Port breakbulk yard. Before loading, binding, coating, and box integrity were checked again.
  • Ocean Shipping and Arrival:Ocean shipping used breakbulk cargo, not standard containers. About 22 days after leaving Qingdao, the vessel arrived at Mundra Port, India. Then multi-axle flatbed trucks moved it to the Indian yard near the port area. Oversized turns had escort. Documents included invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. Shipping marks matched customs declaration materials.
  • On-Site Re-Inspection:After arrival, hoist, electrical cabinet, bolts, and remote control were counted against the packing list. Main girder topcoat had no large-area damage. Outrigger flange holes matched foundation embeddings. After Indian assembly, 415 V power was energized successfully at first attempt. No-load travel was normal.

Transport and Delivery

Conclusion

This 10-ton single girder gantry crane has been used for steel sections and precast beam lifting. Two-speed hoisting allows slow hook lowering. VFD gantry travel reduces starting impact. Ground buttons and wireless remote make on-site command convenient. Production, packaging, and transport arrangements for Indian voltage, high temperature, and monsoon salt fog were implemented. The equipment was put into use on schedule. It can serve as a delivery reference for HSCRANE’s future similar projects in South Asia.
