In recent years, Southeast Asia’s infrastructure and manufacturing sectors entered a rapid growth phase. We received an inquiry from a customer in Binh Duong, Vietnam, in Q3 last year. As an expanding medium steel structure factory, their new plant was topped out. They urgently needed a reliable material handling system to unlock production line efficiency. After video meetings and drawing checks, we found this project highly representative. Limited plant clearance and crowded workstations demanded strict equipment stability and space utilization. We customized two 5t European single-girder overhead cranes for this project. A dual-crane synchronous scheme in the same bay perfectly matched the site conditions.

Before introducing this overhead crane equipment, the workshop relied on forklifts and jib cranes. This method blocked ground lanes and caused safety risks when handling 8-meter H-beams. It also resulted in very low operational efficiency. The new plant’s low bracket height restricted traditional cranes. Standard hooks could not meet the lifting height needed for turning large components. Therefore, we recommended a European overhead crane with a low-headroom wire rope electric hoist. This design places the hoist beside the main girder to maximize overhead space. It increased the effective lifting height by nearly 1 meter.

We provided ample performance redundancy for core components to withstand Vietnam’s hot, humid climate. This ensures all-weather, high-efficiency operation. Here are the core technical parameters of the delivered equipment:

Production strictly followed international ISO 3834 welding standards. The main girder used whole-plate cutting, offering an attractive appearance and higher rigidity.

We conducted an online follow-up three months after official delivery. The factory director highly praised this overhead crane system’s performance. He highlighted the excellent inching performance of the full VFD system on the overhead crane. During high-precision steel plate alignment and mold lifting, traditional crane swaying was eliminated. Hook drifting risks were also reduced to the absolute minimum. This made operations much easier for frontline workers. It directly boosted overall workshop logistics efficiency by over 30%. The success of this Vietnam project proves the importance of deep customization for specific conditions. We remain committed to providing smarter, safer lifting solutions for global manufacturing.
